Based on the 2016 feature film set in 1980s Dublin, the Broadway musical adaptation of Sing Street was two weeks away from its debut when the pandemic postponed the show indefinitely.

Instead of accepting the bad news, Droga5 helped the young cast rally together to turn a two-and-a-half hour Broadway musical into a half-hour online performance, all for charities to support our fellow New Yorkers affected in the epicenter of the pandemic.

We created teaser films, a DIY playbill zine, a pre-show donation drive video and webcam choreography for the performance, combining practical effects and AR Snap Lenses.

The online show also featured surprise cameos from eighties pop icons, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran.

My role was intitial concept direction, art and design direction and motion graphics design.
